Admire.. Phra Sumen Fort

📍..Phra Sumen Fort is a fortress built during the reign of King Rama I (King Buddha Yodfa Chulaloke). It is currently located on Phra Sumen Road in the Bang Lamphu area, Chana Songkhram Subdistrict, Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok.

🗒️..At that time, 14 fortresses were built to protect the capital. However, over time, the fortresses became unnecessary and were dismantled. Phra Sumen Fort is one of the two remaining forts, the other being Mahakan Fort.

📒..The area around Phra Sumen Fort has been beautified with the Santichaiprakan Park, and the houses on the opposite side still preserve the original architectural style.
