A Hidden Autumn Gem in Beijing: Stunning Bairui Valley

Looking into the distance, the rolling mountains resemble a traditional Chinese ink painting; up close, the vibrant colors look like God spilled a palette. With an elevation exceeding 1,000 meters, the mountaintop is often shrouded in mist. The Tiffany blue Floating Cloud Bridge adds the perfect finishing touch, occasionally popping out from the warm-toned background to invite you to visit. The sound of the Baihuashan spring water flows gently beside the mountain trail on the way down. The man-made waterfall by the mid-mountain Tianchi Pond is impressive, and commercial facilities are still being improved.
The shuttle bus in the scenic area can take you directly to the mountaintop. Walking tours take about 3-4 hours. After getting off the shuttle, the entire route is mostly gentle boardwalks and downhill paths, very friendly for seniors and children. Located adjacent to Baihuashan, it’s about a two-hour drive from the city. Tickets cost 80 yuan, the shuttle bus round trip is 30 yuan, and crossing the Floating Cloud Bridge is 30 yuan (worth experiencing). Perhaps because it’s a bit far and somewhat pricey, it’s not very crowded. Starting early means no risk of traffic jams or long lines.
