Museum Island Germany

The island is full of museums and buildings with monumental architecture to admire. The museums are largely focused on the north side and spill out on to either side of the island as well. It is difficult to prioritize museums while in Berlin because there are a lot but do your research and pick what interests you.

When we visited the island we spent time looking at the Berlin Cathedral and the Humboldt Forum. We also enjoyed some music in Lustgarten before moving on for dinner.

The U-Bahn subway station museumsinsel is just south of the Lustgarten but we found Berlin to be very walkable and came here from Brandenburg Gate which took a little over half an hour because we made some stops along the way. We also took some pictures around the island including from its bridges. We spent about half an hour in the area because there weren't any museums here that we prioritized during this visit to Berlin.
