Complete Guide to Singapore's Gardens by the Bay: Don't Miss the Cloud Forest and Light Show!

#SingaporeItinerary

Hey everyone, today I’m sharing my trip to Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay. It was absolutely amazing, packed with useful tips, so be sure to save this!

The Cloud Forest is truly incredible!

The moment I stepped into the Cloud Forest, the stunning waterfall immediately caught my eye, like entering a mysterious fairyland. Be sure to take the elevator to the top floor and then slowly explore your way down. Each level is surrounded by lush greenery and features a beautiful skywalk. Walking on it with the breeze brushing your face is so relaxing. Especially in the hot summer, stepping inside feels like entering a natural air conditioner—super cool.

Flower Dome, a bit less impressive by comparison

Although the Flower Dome gathers flowers and plants from all continents, it’s not as breathtaking as the Cloud Forest. I think a quick visit is enough; no need to spend too much time here. A heads-up: the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest tickets are combined and cannot be purchased separately. Also, it’s best to visit the Flower Dome first, then the Cloud Forest for the most logical route.

Light Show and Aurora Show, a visual feast

By the time I left the Cloud Forest, it was already past 8 PM, perfect timing to head to the central area of Gardens by the Bay for the light show. The “Supertrees” light up beautifully, like scenes from a dream world. When I went, the light show was held every night at 7:45 PM and 8:45 PM, and on weekend nights, there’s an even more spectacular Aurora Show at 9 PM. I highly recommend going on a weekend night—after watching the 8:45 PM light show, you can stay for the Aurora Show. Everyone casually sits or lies on the ground, enjoying the evening breeze and the amazing performances, washing away the day’s fatigue.

Itinerary and Food Recommendations

I walked over 30,000 steps that day, which was quite tiring. If you have time, I suggest splitting this into two days because all the places you want to visit require a lot of walking. For dinner, I ate at a food court near Chinatown, but you can also try the food court at Marina Bay Sands, located on B2. Note that food courts usually require cash payments, so please plan accordingly.
