Polynesian Village Questions

Is there any way to request king beds? (A direct phone number to the hotel or an email?)

Are we likely to get a better (quieter) room by checking in at the front desk or doing the advance online check in?

Thank you so much for any advice. We already have our reservation, just not sure how to make requests.

If you already have a reservation at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and want to make special requests, there are a few ways to handle it:

Requesting a King Bed:

You can request a specific bed type, such as a king bed, through Disney’s Guest Services. While requests are never guaranteed, the hotel staff usually accommodates them when possible.

  • Call Disney Resort Reservations at 407-939-5277 (U.S. phone line). Let them know your reservation details and your bed preference.
  • Alternatively, you can send a note through the Disney reservation portal when viewing your reservation online. There’s a section for “Special Requests” where you can mention king bed preference.
  • You can also call the Polynesian directly at the resort front desk closer to your arrival date to reiterate your request.

Getting a Quieter Room:

Room placement can affect noise levels, though again, it’s not guaranteed:

  • Checking in at the front desk gives you a chance to speak directly with a Cast Member about your preference for a quieter room, away from elevators, pools, or construction areas. Sometimes this can help, especially if the hotel has availability on quieter floors.
  • Using advance online check-in is convenient and can speed up the arrival process, but you generally don’t have direct influence over room location unless you call or message Disney Guest Services in advance.
  • It’s often recommended to call the hotel a few days before arrival to request a room in a specific area, as resort staff can note your preferences and sometimes adjust the assignment based on availability.

Additional Tips:

  • Be polite and specific with your requests; Disney Cast Members often try to accommodate reasonable preferences.
  • If quiet is very important, request rooms away from the main pool, monorail, and lobby areas.
  • Consider asking for a room on the upper floors, as they are typically quieter than those near common areas.

Overall, your best approach is to call Disney Resort Reservations and the Polynesian directly, make your requests clear, and then politely reiterate at check-in. While requests are not guaranteed, this gives you the best chance of getting a king bed and a quieter room.
