October Trip -Best Part of town to Stay
My group is traveling to Sedona in mid-October. We are looking at Airbnbs and need some direction on the best area to consider.
For a mid-October trip to Sedona, choosing the right area to stay can make a big difference in your experience, especially if you want easy access to hiking, dining, and scenic drives.
Here are some of the best areas to consider for Airbnb stays:
- Uptown Sedona: This is the main hub of town, close to restaurants, shops, and galleries. Staying here puts you in walking distance to the heart of Sedona and offers easy access to nearby trailheads like Bell Rock and Cathedral Rock.
- West Sedona: Generally more residential and quieter, with good access to grocery stores and less busy roads. It’s still close enough to Uptown Sedona (5–10 minutes by car) and offers a more relaxed atmosphere.
- Village of Oak Creek (VOC): South of Sedona proper, VOC is near the famous Red Rock Country, close to Bell Rock, Courthouse Butte, and Chapel of the Holy Cross. Ideal if you want more scenic surroundings and quieter accommodations, though it’s about a 15–20 minute drive to Uptown.
- Red Rock Loop and Scenic Drive areas: If your group wants immediate access to hikes and iconic vistas, look for rentals along Red Rock Loop Road or near Scenic Drive. These areas are slightly more secluded but offer stunning views right from your Airbnb.
Additional considerations for mid-October:
- Weather is generally mild, with daytime highs in the mid-70s°F (24°C) and cooler mornings/evenings, so proximity to trailheads may be convenient for early hikes.
