Hotel recommendation for 2 night stay

Hi everyone,

We're planning a 2 night stay in Sedona in early May. I was looking at the TripAdvisor hotel list and the Best Western that was mentioned in older posts has one room at $325. I was just wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a conveniently located hotel for a lower price.

Thanks.

Sedona can be a bit pricey, especially in early May, which is a popular time for visitors due to mild weather and beautiful scenery. If you’re looking for a conveniently located hotel for a lower price than $325 per night, there are several options to consider that balance comfort, location, and value.

Staying near the main area of West Sedona or close to the Uptown area is ideal for easy access to restaurants, shops, and trailheads without needing a long drive.

  • GreenTree Inn Sedona – Located in West Sedona, this property offers reasonable rates, clean rooms, and basic amenities. It’s within a short drive to trailheads like Bell Rock and Airport Mesa.
  • Arabella Hotel Sedona – A mid-range option slightly north of Uptown, often with competitive rates if booked in advance. Offers comfortable rooms, a pool, and good access to local dining.
  • Sedona Village Lodge – A smaller, budget-friendly option in West Sedona. Rooms are simple but well-kept, and it’s convenient to nearby grocery and restaurant options.

Additional tips to potentially lower costs:

  • Consider booking through third-party websites like Expedia or Booking.com, which sometimes offer promotional rates or last-minute deals.
  • Check for weekday stays rather than weekend nights, as rates can drop slightly on Sunday and Monday nights.
  • Look at Airbnbs or vacation rentals, which can occasionally offer better value for short stays and sometimes include free parking or kitchen facilities.

Overall, for a two-night stay, the key is to balance proximity to the main trails and shops with reasonable pricing. West Sedona typically offers better value than Uptown, while still keeping you close to the iconic red rock scenery.
