Marriott Hotels
I need recommendations to choose between Marriott hotels in Palm desert. We are going there for the spring brake of a 9 years old . No golfing, but we would love to enjoy swimming pools, good accommodations and nice grounds. Price range up to $400 a night. Thank you
Palm Desert has several Marriott-branded hotels that cater well to families, particularly those who want enjoyable swimming pools, spacious accommodations, and well-maintained grounds without focusing on golf. Considering your budget of up to $400 per night, here are some good options:
- Marriott’s Shadow Ridge: This resort is very family-friendly, offering multiple pools, including kid-friendly areas, and spacious villas or suites. The grounds are extensive with beautiful desert landscaping, and there are activities for children during spring break.
- Marriott’s Desert Springs Villas: A larger property with multiple pools and resort-style amenities. Perfect for families, it has garden and pool views, and plenty of open space for kids to play. The villa-style accommodations offer extra living space for comfort.
- Courtyard Palm Desert: Slightly smaller but centrally located. It has a decent pool area and is convenient for nearby restaurants and shopping. It may not have as extensive grounds as the villa resorts but is often more budget-friendly.
Additional tips for booking:
- Check for spring break packages or promotions; sometimes Marriott offers deals including free breakfast or resort credits.
- Request a room near the pool if your child is planning to swim frequently, as some rooms may be a longer walk away from amenities.
- Consider booking early, as spring break is a popular time in Palm Desert and rooms can fill quickly.
- Look for villas or suites if you want extra space for family meals or relaxation after a day by the pool.
In summary, for a family-focused stay with good pools and pleasant grounds, Marriott’s Shadow Ridge and Desert Springs Villas are top recommendations. The Courtyard is a simpler option that may fit within your budget and still provides a comfortable stay for a short break.
