How to know if PAR is successful

Hello Fellow travelers!

I am an indian national planning to travel to HK with family (wife and 2 kids) in the month of April'25.

I have applied for the PAR and the notification slip was also generated. I reconfirmed on the website by entering the notification number to make sure it was successful.

I just want to reconfirm with someone here if this message indeed means successful or there is anything else to be done

Just dont want to be caught unaware at the last minute for the family vacation :D

TIA for your help!

The Pre-Arrival Registration (PAR) system for Hong Kong provides a notification slip once your application is submitted. For Indian nationals, this notification slip serves as proof that your application has been received and preliminarily approved.

Key points to confirm that your PAR is successful:

  • If you can enter your notification number on the official Hong Kong Immigration website and it retrieves your details without errors, this generally indicates that your PAR has been successfully processed.
  • The PAR is not a physical visa but a pre-approval for immigration clearance, valid for the period stated in your application. You do not need to do anything further as long as your travel details (name, passport number, dates, and accommodation) are correct.
  • At the airport or port of entry, you must carry your passport and the PAR notification slip (printed or digital) to present to immigration officers.

Additional advice:

  • Double-check that all passenger details, including those of your wife and two children, match exactly with their passports.
  • Make sure your travel dates and accommodation information are consistent with what is stated in the PAR form to avoid any issues.
  • Keep a backup of the notification slip accessible on your phone or printed, as this will help smooth the entry process at the airport.

In summary, if your notification number can be verified on the official website and all details are correct, your PAR is considered successful. No additional steps are required before your travel.
