A few questions please - upcoming trip to HK

Hello all

Been a while since my last long haul trip but finally have one coming up to Singapore (been before) and to Hong Kong.

A few questions I have at the moment for the lovely experts here please are:

1. Does food delivery like Deliveroo/Food panda work to the the resort? Read somewhere before, which I can't find where, that there are no deliveries here which surprises me. Answer to this will affect the next question

2. We are staying at Disney Hotel for a day trip to the park. We have early access tickets. I have not booked buffet breakfast as I will just be rushing the family so is there a takeout service of basic breakfast? If there are no food deliver services then I'm stumped where to grab a quick bite before the park.

3. This I believe is doable but on our last day here, we have a flight at 20:10. We plan to check out by 12pm but leave our luggage to go to the 360 cable car in Tung Chung. Do a return, back to the hotel to pick the luggage then grab a taxi to the airport. Seems ok or a risk of queues are potentially horrible?

Thanks!

Here’s a detailed response to your questions regarding your upcoming trip to Hong Kong and stay at the Disney Hotel:

1. Food delivery to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort:

Food delivery services like Deliveroo and Foodpanda generally do not deliver to the Disney Resort hotels. The resort is considered a special area, and most third-party delivery apps do not cover it. Guests are expected to use the dining options within the hotel or the park itself.

2. Quick breakfast options at the Disney Hotel:

  • The hotel itself provides several options for breakfast, including buffet and à la carte. For a quick grab-and-go, you can check if the hotel has a takeaway breakfast service or pre-packed breakfast boxes—some Disney hotels offer this on request.
  • If you want a very light and fast option, most hotel gift shops or small convenience corners sell pastries, sandwiches, and drinks, suitable for taking into the park.
  • Alternatively, you could eat inside the park once early access begins. There are several food stands and quick-service restaurants where you can grab something fast.

3. Day of departure plan with luggage and 360 Cable Car:

  • Checking out by 12pm and leaving luggage at the hotel concierge is standard practice. Most Disney hotels have secure luggage storage for guests after checkout.
  • Going to the Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car in Tung Chung is feasible from the hotel. Depending on transport choice (MTR + cable car or taxi), the round trip can take around 2–3 hours, including waiting times.
  • Returning to the hotel to pick up luggage and then heading to the airport by taxi is generally safe. Allow at least 1.5–2 hours from the hotel to Hong Kong International Airport by taxi to avoid any risk of missing your flight due to traffic or queues.
  • Overall, your plan is workable as long as you leave enough buffer time for unexpected delays, especially on weekends or peak travel days.

In summary, focus on hotel-based breakfast or pre-packed options, skip relying on third-party delivery, and ensure sufficient time for your luggage retrieval and airport transfer on your last day.
