2 bedrooms 2 bathroom hotel options
Can someone recommend a hotel that has 2 beds and 2 bathrooms in a good area for 1st time visitors. I am ok with connecting rooms. Looking to stay closer to $300 but can go up to $450 if needed.
Good question. Finding a true 2-bed / 2-bath hotel suite in Los Angeles in the $300–$450/night range is pretty tough, especially for first-time-visitor-friendly neighborhoods. That said, there *are a few good options and workarounds below — plus some things to be careful of (parking, etc.).*
- Los Angeles Deluxe Suites – 2 Bedrooms & 2 Bathrooms — This aparthotel has a 2-bedroom suite with two full bathrooms, a kitchen, and a balcony. It’s centrally located near Hollywood Walk of Fame, so it’s pretty well positioned for sightseeing.
- Pros: Two bathrooms, full kitchen, good size for a family or two couples.
- Cons: Rate can vary — check for your travel dates. Also, parking in Hollywood / central LA can be pricey or limited.
- Residence Inn by Marriott Los Angeles LAX / Century Boulevard – Two Bedroom Suite — According to California Hotels & Suites, there is a 2BR suite here.
- Pros: Near LAX, more affordable than very central hotels, includes kitchen, good for family-style stay.
- Cons: Location is farther from “tourist LA” (Hollywood, Downtown) — but good if you’re OK driving or using rideshare.
- DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Los Angeles Downtown – 2-Room Suite (2 Queens + 1.5 Baths) — Through Suiteness, there’s a 2-room, 2-queen suite with 1.5 bathrooms starting around $247 (depending on date) .
- Pros: Very good price, centralized in DTLA, easy access to major downtown sights (Broad Museum, Walt Disney Concert Hall).
- Cons: Only 1 full bath + a half bath, not exactly 2 full bathrooms; downtown parking is expensive and limited.
Things to Watch / Tips:
- Even connecting or suite-style rooms may not guarantee *two full bathrooms* — always double-check room details.
- Parking will add cost: in central LA or Hollywood, parking can be $40–70+ / night depending on hotel or garage.
- If you’re flexible, consider a serviced apartment / aparthotel: these typically give more space for families and often include kitchens, which saves on meals. Suiteness is a very useful tool for finding these.
- Book early: the better value suites fill up fast, especially for weekends or peak travel times.
My Recommendation:
- If location for sightseeing (Hollywood / downtown) is a priority, the DoubleTree Downtown suite is your best bet.
- If you don’t mind being a bit farther out (especially near LAX) to stay in a more “aparthotel,” the Residence Inn offers excellent value and more space.
- If your group values space and self-catering (kitchen, balcony), definitely go for the Los Angeles Deluxe Suites 2BR.
