4 ladies in their 50s traveling for 2 nights to Sedona.

Thank you all in advance .. love these forums in Trip Advisor.

We are 4 of us landing in Phoenix around noon. Renting a car and staying in Cottonwood for 2 nights.

Would some one be able to help me out with the itinerary.. the absolute Do Not Miss placed we should go and the best tours around to see.

We will be going to Page on day 3 to Antelope Canyon and have booked a tour already for the upper canyon.

Thank you again.

For a 2-night trip to Sedona with a stay in Cottonwood, you can plan a mix of scenic drives, short hikes, and tours to maximize your experience. Since you’re four ladies in your 50s, a comfortable pace with iconic sights and optional guided tours works well.

Here’s a suggested itinerary:

Day 1 – Arrival and Scenic Drive:

  • Pick up your rental car in Phoenix around noon and drive to Cottonwood (approx. 2 hours). Stop for lunch along the way in a local town like Cave Creek or Fountain Hills if you wish.
  • Check into your hotel or accommodation in Cottonwood.
  • Head to Sedona in the late afternoon (about 30–40 minutes from Cottonwood) for a scenic drive through Oak Creek Canyon.
  • Stop at Bell Rock or Cathedral Rock for short walks or photo opportunities. Both are iconic and offer easy-to-moderate hikes.
  • Dinner in Sedona. Consider The Hudson or Mariposa for views and a fun atmosphere.

Day 2 – Sedona Highlights and Tours:

  • Start the morning with a guided Pink Jeep Tour. These tours are very popular and give you access to areas like Broken Arrow or Devil’s Bridge, combining adventure with stunning photo ops.
  • Visit Chapel of the Holy Cross – a short stop with amazing views of Sedona’s red rocks.
  • Lunch in Sedona – consider a café or wine bar like Creekside American Bistro.
  • In the afternoon, explore Uptown Sedona for shops, art galleries, and local souvenirs.
  • Optional sunset hike at Airport Mesa for panoramic views of the red rocks.
  • Dinner in Sedona or back in Cottonwood – The Tavern or Oak Creek Brewery are casual and fun options.

Day 3 – Drive to Page for Antelope Canyon:

  • Leave early from Cottonwood/Sedona to reach Page, Arizona. The drive is approximately 3.5–4 hours.
  • Enjoy your booked Upper Antelope Canyon tour in Page. This is a highlight and very photogenic.
  • Depending on time, you can also check out Horseshoe Bend nearby, which is an easy short hike with incredible views.

Additional Tips:

  • If you enjoy wine, consider stopping at some of the Verde Valley wineries near Cottonwood on Day 1 or 2.
  • Stay hydrated and wear comfortable shoes suitable for light hiking and walking on uneven terrain.
  • Book tours in advance, as Pink Jeep Tours and Antelope Canyon can sell out quickly, especially during peak seasons.

This itinerary balances sightseeing, adventure, and relaxation, ensuring you experience the must-see highlights of Sedona and still have enough energy for your Antelope Canyon visit.
