Cameo Beverly Hills or Beverly Hilton
G’day,
Keen to hear your preference between the Cameo Beverly Hills or Beverly Hilton?
We are a family of 3, with a 3 year old, staying for 3 nights in LA at the end of December.
With the corporate rate I get for Hilton both hotels are similar prices - Cameo slightly more.
From online reviews, both have mixed feedback.
Thank you in advance!
Cheers
Choosing between the Cameo Beverly Hills and the Beverly Hilton depends on what kind of experience you’re looking for as a family with a young child.
Here’s a detailed comparison to help guide your decision:
- Location: Both hotels are centrally located in Beverly Hills, close to shopping, dining, and attractions. The Beverly Hilton is slightly closer to Sunset Boulevard and easy access to LA hotspots, while the Cameo Beverly Hills sits in a quieter, more residential-feeling area.
- Family-Friendliness: For a family with a 3-year-old, the Beverly Hilton has a bit more space and established family-friendly amenities. They often provide cribs, kid-friendly dining options, and a pool area that’s easy for small children.
- Atmosphere: Cameo Beverly Hills is more boutique and modern in style, which can feel trendy and stylish but may not cater as much to families with young kids. Beverly Hilton has a classic, resort-style atmosphere with larger public spaces.
- Reviews and Service: Both hotels have mixed reviews. Common praise for Beverly Hilton is its spacious rooms, large pool, and friendly staff. Cameo is often noted for stylish decor and a modern vibe, but some reviewers mention smaller rooms and limited family-oriented amenities.
- Price Considerations: With your corporate rate, both are similar, though Cameo is slightly higher. Consider whether the boutique style is worth the extra cost for your family, or if the Hilton’s more established infrastructure makes the stay smoother with a toddler.
In summary, if your priority is convenience, space, and family-oriented facilities, the Beverly Hilton is likely the safer choice for a family with a young child. If you’re looking for a chic, boutique experience and don’t mind slightly smaller rooms and fewer family-specific amenities, Cameo could be enjoyable, especially for a shorter stay.
Other practical points:
- Beverly Hilton: larger pool area suitable for kids, on-site dining options, easier parking.
- Cameo Beverly Hills: more intimate, stylish rooms, quieter neighborhood, but limited kid-friendly services.
Given you’re staying only 3 nights and have a toddler, many families would lean toward the Beverly Hilton for a smoother, stress-free experience.
