Best way to book tickets for Zhangjiajie National Park

Hi, I'm visiting Zhangjiajie NP mid september and will be there for 2/3 days looking to spend 2 days in the park and 3rd seeing Tianmen mountain.

I've been watching youtube videos and understand there are 4 day passes that include unlimited rides (buses/cable car/lift) but struggling to find them

Which is the best platform to do this on? Trip / Klook / GetYourGuide ? any links available?

How early should i book ahead?

Thanks

For visiting Zhangjiajie National Park, the most convenient way to access tickets and passes is through reputable online platforms that cater to international tourists. The park operates a system of multi-day passes that cover the main attractions, including shuttle buses, cable cars, and lifts, which are essential for exploring efficiently.

Key considerations for booking:

  • Types of Passes: Zhangjiajie offers 4-day unlimited pass options which typically include: all internal shuttle buses, cable cars to key areas such as Yuanjiajie and Tianzi Mountain, and the Bailong Elevator.
  • Separate Tickets: Tianmen Mountain is separate and usually requires a distinct cable car ticket and park entrance ticket.
  • Duration: Since you plan 2 days in Zhangjiajie NP and 1 day for Tianmen Mountain, a 4-day pass for the park is ideal even if you don’t use all 4 days consecutively.

Recommended booking platforms:

  • Klook: Popular for international tourists, supports English, secure payment, and instant confirmation. Often includes combo tickets for Zhangjiajie NP + Tianmen Mountain.
  • Trip.com: Offers official ticket options and sometimes better pricing for local operators, reliable for advance bookings.
  • GetYourGuide: Good for guided tours, including transfers from Zhangjiajie city or airport, and skip-the-line options.

Booking tips:

  • Book at least 2–3 weeks in advance if traveling in September, as it is a popular time due to autumn foliage.
  • Check cancellation and refund policies, especially if your travel dates are flexible.
  • Consider combo packages that include hotel transfers or guided tours for ease of travel, as navigating the park on your own can be complex.
  • Have digital and printed copies of tickets; some entrances may request either format.

Overall, for convenience and peace of mind, Klook or Trip.com are recommended for self-guided ticketing, while GetYourGuide is suitable if you prefer a guided experience. Booking early ensures availability for cable cars and lifts, particularly during peak seasons.
