3-4 days in Zhong Shan (China) via HK

Hi. Planning to fly from UK to HK (2 days). HK to Zhong Shan, China (3 days). Back to HK (1 day) then flying back to UK. Only away from UK 1 week. My question is do I need a visa to enter China as I have a British passport? Advice much appreciated.
