Nighttime Reverie at Simatai Great Wall

As night falls, I climb up to the hilltop church once more, gazing at the dazzling lights of the town below. I had hoped to wait for the 7:30 drone show, but the bitter wind cuts deep, sending shivers down my spine. I’m glad I didn’t venture up Simatai Great Wall for the night view—the higher altitude would have made the cold unbearable. Yet, the scenery here is enchanting enough, a sight that truly captivates the soul.
