Nature Worship and Nachi Falls
Nachi Falls (133 m drop) is revered as the deified "Hiraku Gongen," and the waterfall itself is originally considered a sacred object.

Shrine Buildings and Structure
Six vermilion-lacquered shrine buildings are arranged in a rectangular pattern on the mountainside at an elevation of approximately 500 meters, and are built in the style of Kumano Gongen-zukuri.

Sights/Legends
ใƒปA large camphor tree, approximately 850 years old, and Karasuishi (a stone where the Yatagarasu is said to have turned to stone).
ใƒปNachi Fire Festival (Fan Festival): A ceremony is held on July 14th, featuring the shrine buildings and Nachi Falls.

Kumano Sanzan/World Heritage Site
Kumano Nachi Taisha is one of the Kumano Sanzan, along with Kumano Hongu Taisha and Kumano Hayatama Taisha.

Kumano Nachi Taisha is also registered as a World Heritage Site as a sacred site and pilgrimage route in the Kii Mountain Range.
