🚂✨ Norway in a Nutshell Adventure ✨🚢

One of the highlights of my Norway trip was taking the legendary Norway in a Nutshell journey. Honestly, every moment felt like stepping straight into a postcard! 🇳🇴🏞️

🚉 We kicked off our morning at Bergen Station, boarding the scenic train that took us through lush valleys, dramatic fjords, and cascading waterfalls 🌲🏔️💦. The trip from Bergen to Flam (including the Flam Railway) cost SGD 120.58 per person, and the ever-changing views, from quaint villages 🏡 to towering mountains ⛰️ that kept us mesmerized 🤩.

The highlight was definitely the Flam Railway 🚂, one of the steepest train journeys in the world! It winds through tunnels and alongside roaring waterfalls 🌊. A special stop at Kjosfossen waterfall treated us to a magical sight: a red-dressed “dancing lady” 💃✨, a mythical Huldra from Norwegian folklore, appearing in the mist.

🏘️ After this stunning ride, we arrived in the charming village of Flam, peaceful, postcard-perfect, and full of small-town charm.

🍴 For lunch, we stopped at Egir Bryggeri Pub, a Viking-style brewery 🍻🔥 with carved wood interiors and a cozy fireplace. The hearty food and local beer made us feel like we had stepped back in time to the Viking era ⚔️🍖.

Next up was the fjords cruise back to Bergen 🚢. The direct cruise (about 5.5 hours, SGD 183.41) carried us through the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord and Aurlandsfjord 🌊🏞️. The route we chose was straightforward, but there are alternative routes with more stops or different transport options for those who want extra adventure.

🌅 By the time we returned to Bergen in the evening, we were tired but so happy 🥰. This one-day journey perfectly captures Norway’s beauty, from fairytale waterfalls and folklore 🧚♀️, to majestic fjords and cozy villages 🏡. It was an unforgettable experience I’ll treasure ❤️
