This trip to Singapore happened to coincide with the 54th National Day celebration. At various attractions and public areas, you can see decorations celebrating the National Day. Today, I came to Raffles City for dining and shopping. Inside the shopping mall, I happened to see the painted Merlion competition exhibits held to celebrate Singapore's National Day. There are all kinds of colorful Merlions, each creatively painted with individual ideas. There are estimated to be at least a couple hundred Merlions on site. Many passersby and tourists take out their phones to pick their favorite Merlion and take photos. Afterward, the whole family started strolling around the mall and enjoying delicious local food in the food court. (20190811)
