Friends, Singapore is truly a treasure city with diverse cultures, tempting cuisine, and amazing attractions! This time, I chose to explore by private car, which completely opened up a new world and gave me total travel freedom.
🛬 Itinerary: Recommended for 3 - 4 days.
- Day 1: Singapore Changi Airport → Clarke Quay (enjoy the riverside scenery by day, stunning lights at night, plus lots of restaurants and bars) → Merlion Park (get up close with the Merlion and admire the Marina Bay night view)
- Day 2: Kampong Glam (experience Malay culture, snap photos at Sultan Mosque) → Haji Lane (a hipster paradise with endless unique shops) → Empress Place (European-style architecture, dignified and beautiful, perfect for photos)
- Day 3: Sentosa Island (have a blast at Universal Studios, visit SEA Aquarium to see various marine creatures, watch the sunset at Palawan Beach)
- Day 4 (optional): Singapore Zoo (open-concept design for close animal encounters) → Night Safari (a unique experience to see nocturnal animals in action)
⛺ Must-visit attractions:
- Sentosa Island: A true holiday paradise, Universal Studios offers thrilling fun, the aquarium showcases a vast array of marine life, Palawan Beach boasts stunning views, and it’s home to the southernmost point of continental Asia.
- Singapore Zoo: Famous for its open-concept design, animals live freely, and visitors can observe them better, plus there are exciting animal shows.
- Marina Bay Night View: Marina Bay Sands, Helix Bridge, and the Singapore Flyer look magnificent under the lights. Taking a night cruise is an amazing experience.
🍩 Must-try foods:
- Satay: Grilled skewers served with special satay sauce; chicken, beef, and lamb are all delicious. One bite per skewer is super satisfying.
- Kaya Toast: Crispy toasted bread with sweet kaya jam, served with a soft-boiled egg, one of the locals’ favorite breakfasts.
- Cereal Prawns: Large prawns coated with sweet cereal flakes; the prawn meat is tender, and the cereal is crispy, creating a rich texture.
🏨 Accommodation tips:
- Festive Hotel at Resorts World Sentosa: Located on Sentosa Island, convenient for outings, and the hotel facilities are great for families with kids.
- Shangri-La Hotel Singapore: Family-friendly with a kids’ club and shuttle service to Orchard Road shopping district, perfect for both shopping and fun.

🚌 Transportation tips: Private car throughout the trip for convenience and comfort. Confirm your itinerary and car usage times in advance, and communicate pick-up and drop-off points with the driver. You can choose from different vehicle types like 5-seater sedans or 7-seater business vans.
🧡 Tips:
1. Eating and drinking are not allowed on public transport in Singapore, so please follow the rules.
2. Download the official Universal Studios app in advance to check queue times and plan your activities efficiently.
3. Respect local religions and cultural customs; dress appropriately when entering religious sites.
