Arriving at the long-awaited Shangri-La, this sacred and beautiful land does not need any more words to describe. Today, I will focus on only one place, Abujicuo.
This is a place that many people don't know much about. It should have been developed by the local villagers themselves. You must be led by the villagers to enter the mountain because you have to hike all the way, and it is not a place that everyone can come to. This test is more than just physical strength. From the foot of the 3,600-meter mountain to Abuji at an altitude of 4,200 meters, not to mention the altitude sickness, the vegetation here is very dense, the oxygen is sufficient, this road is wild enough, primitive enough, and all mountain roads. In recent years, I have climbed Cangshan, Jizushan, and Shibaoshan, but I have never seen such a mountain road.
We gathered at the Tibetan family's house at 8:30 am. It is said that such a mansion would cost millions to build, after all, it is all made of wood. The weather is a little cool today. No matter what season it is when you come to Shangri-La, a coat is a must.
We drove for about half an hour on the mountain road and arrived at a pasture at the foot of the mountain. We began to prepare. The villagers brought water, dry food, and steamed buns for breakfast.
From the foot of the mountain, it was all uphill. The paths were all made by the villagers themselves, stone paths. Our team had to walk a long way, crossing streams and climbing over two high mountains. Our backs were soaked. We were exhausted and panting like dogs, but the scenery along the way can only be appreciated by walking!
We walked from the front of Abuji to the back, getting closer and closer to Abuji Mountain. The guide discovered it and saw snow lotus for the first time. He quickly surrounded it with stones to protect this precious plant.
We were getting closer and closer to our destination, feeling an indescribable excitement and indescribable beauty. Finally, we saw Abujicuo Lake, like a natural painting, quietly awaiting your arrival.
Back at the ranch at the foot of the mountain, the guides prepared a barbecue. I had never tasted such delicious roasted pork belly before, it was particularly fragrant, fatty but not greasy. The Tibetans said that this was the feed for the pigs raised in the village and they had never been fed a single grain of feed. This ranch looks a lot like Heidi and Grandpa's cabin, with its cattle, it's just beautiful.
