Originally planned to go to Wangtianshu Scenic Area, but found it was really far away before leaving. It took two and a half hours to drive from the hotel, so we had to change the itinerary. The two children wanted to play "Jungle Leap", so we went to the Primeval Forest Park. We spent a day in the forest. The "Jungle Jump" ride is divided into sections A and B. Section A is simple, with only eight sections for a single person, while Section B is thrilling, with 21 sections. Besides the single jump, there are ropes, floating bridges, half-pipe nets, climbing nets, and more, requiring considerable stamina. Section B alone takes an hour and requires a dedicated chaperone. Due to time constraints and other travel arrangements, my two children only did Section A. The forest hike, which involved tens of thousands of steps, was exhausting. We were constantly navigating deep forests and mountains, and it rained intermittently (it was the rainy season), but it was a truly wonderful experience. After leaving the primeval forest, we drove to have a special meal called Mushroom Hotpot. It was the best meal we've ever had, bar none. I highly recommend the "Mushroom Princess" at Gaozhuang. We had dinner at the hotel.No. 11 We woke up early and set off for the Wangtianshu Scenic Area after breakfast. Located in a county in Xishuangbanna, it's over 160 kilometers away, mainly on the highway. The Wangtianshu Scenic Area is the only area in China designated as a tropical rainforest. Here we saw various unidentified flowers, encountered snails larger than hands, and walked through a canopy corridor dozens of meters high. This is a suspension bridge about 34 meters high and 500 meters long, built using the trunks of dozens of Wangtianshu trees. In the past, we had to look up from the ground to see the full view of the trees. This time, we can walk between the tree trunks, see the scenery from higher up, and experience a different form of the tropical rainforest.
We were really tired after two days of forest hiking. After returning in the afternoon, we found a Thai massage parlor as soon as we returned. Two families, eight people, young and old, relaxed and had a good rest. For dinner, we found a Yunnan cuisine farmhouse near the hotel. It was affordable and delicious, called "Manhuisuo Farmhouse." Manhuisuo Farmhouse
After breakfast, we headed to the Dai Garden Scenic Area, a 50-minute drive away. Our first stop was a speedboat cruise on the Mekong River, where we felt the thrill of speeding across the water and connecting six nations. To say there were any sights to see would be a lie. We truly experienced the speed and excitement of the speedboat ride. After disembarking, we continued our tour of the park by sightseeing bus. For lunch, I highly recommend the Qiaoxiangyuan Cross-Bridge Rice Noodles, a delicious and authentic rice noodle shop near the entrance. It's a must-try for anyone who enjoys this kind of food. Afterward, we continued our afternoon activities with the scenic area's flagship event, the Water Splashing Festival. For this occasion, the two little princesses were given special outfits. The moment the two beauties stepped into the crowd, they looked like the stars of the show. The camera first spotted the "luckiest one," and they were splashed with water on the big screen, leaving us to catch the shower of wealth. Hahahaha! The princesses were thrilled! After a tiring afternoon, we returned to the hotel to shower and rest. We had Thai dinner at Gaozhuang, then visited the Starlight Night Market. The night market is not only fun to visit but also beautiful; its beauty during the day is matched by its allure at night.
13th Today we had a travel photography trip at Manting Park. After breakfast, the few of us who were taking photos went to the store to put on makeup and change clothes before reuniting with the main group in Manting. It was so photogenic, every corner was a good place to take photos. However, taking photos is really a lot of work. After the photoshoot, we hired a guide to give us a detailed tour of Manting Park, once the imperial garden of the Dai king. It's not large, and a complete walk took about an hour. Dinner was served at the hotel.
14th Our hotel offered a free travel photoshoot, so we took advantage of it in the morning, as we had nothing else to do. Makeup is a separate fee, and a simple makeup session is 68 yuan, which we opted for. While taking photos, we were able to visit the hotel and the Buddhist temple behind it. It was quite exotic and well worth a morning's visit. In the afternoon, our families each caught their own flights. We look forward to meeting again next time.
Please prepare your own clothing according to the attractions before your trip. Xishuangbanna has a tropical climate and exotic customs, which makes it easy to take photos. There are abundant fruits and green plants, so there are also many mosquitoes. Mosquito repellent is essential, as is sunscreen and heatstroke prevention items.
