Hi, I’m travelling to Hong Kong in September for a holiday and have read that you can’t take or use an e-cig over there. I was wondering does this also include the disposable types that seem be used a lot nowadays ? especially here in Poland.

I am happy to leave my e-cig at home but was wondering about the throw aways.

In Hong Kong, the use and possession of e-cigarettes (also called electronic nicotine delivery systems) is strictly regulated. Since November 2018, Hong Kong has prohibited the import, manufacture, sale, and distribution of e-cigarettes and related products containing nicotine.

This ban applies to all types of e-cigarettes, including the commonly used disposable e-cigarettes that are popular in many countries, including Poland. Even if you plan to use them personally and not for resale, carrying disposable e-cigarettes with nicotine into Hong Kong is considered illegal.

All e-cigarettes containing nicotine are banned, whether refillable or disposable.
The law applies to personal use, so bringing any e-cigarette with nicotine into Hong Kong could lead to confiscation or fines.
Non-nicotine vaping products may not be explicitly illegal, but authorities may still scrutinize them at customs, so caution is advised.

For travelers, the safest approach is to leave all e-cigarettes, including disposable types, at home and not attempt to bring them into Hong Kong. Using traditional cigarettes purchased locally is the only legal alternative if you wish to smoke during your visit.
