The Noonday Gun
Not quite sure where to put this, so I'll try here. Now that the waterfront promenade is more or less complete along the HK Island side of the harbour, some people my try to combine a walk there with being at the Jardine Noonday Gun in Causeway Bay at noon when it is fired.
Just FYI, the gun is currently loaded with a much larger charge on Fridays, weekends and holidays than it is on Monday to Thursday. So if you want a really loud bang try to be there then. (It's quite loud Mon-Thurs, but really, really loud Fri/Sat/Sun/PH.)
I know this because I live overlooking the gun!
