Hi,
Thank you everyone for great advises. Originally our plan was to take the bus, I mapped everything out but last minute we changed our mind and decided on the jet boat. We didn’t booked any tickets in advance, we showed up at the terminal and brought our tickets. There were three of us, it was $67 USD for 3 of us on economy class one way to Macau. We saw the other class it is literally in the same cabin as us difference was their seat was leather. There are also first class which was upper cabin and we didn’t go up to see. The ride is only about an hour over to Macau. I would stick with economy class to save money.
When you arrived in Macau and after immigration, walk out the door and there is a bus stop on your left. Take bus # 3 and it will drop you off in front of the historical Senado Square ($6 exact change bus driver will not give you change). From here you can explore the area and walk to other area if you like.
In hindsight, we should have spend a night in Macau instead of a day trip.
Our return trip from Macau to HKG was $65 USD for 3 of us. Maybe the exchange rate is better from Macau. Not that it matters it was only $2 difference.
Bus #3 was our main bus we took the same number back to port. I think bus #3 kinda loops around the main area.
Based on your experience, traveling from Hong Kong to Macau by jet boat can be a convenient and relatively quick option, especially if you are traveling without prior reservations.

Overall, the jet boat option combined with local buses offers a practical and cost-effective way to experience Macau, especially if time is limited. Planning an overnight stay can make the visit more enjoyable and less rushed.
