Ancient trees and lush shade, a quiet time in the land of prayer

#福冈之旅
Walking into the Sumiyoshi Shrine in Fukuoka, it seems to be isolated from the bustling city, and a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere hits you. The shrine's large torii stands among the ancient trees, as if guarding this holy place of faith for thousands of years. Following the stone steps, the sun casts mottled light and shadows through the branches and leaves, and the breeze brings a faint wood fragrance and quiet spiritual energy. The main hall is famous for its simple and elegant Sumiyoshi-style architecture, and the red and white eaves complement the verdant background. I offered coins and silk devoutly, silently prayed with the faint sound of the bell, and felt the peace and tranquility in my heart. The clear water pond and stone lanterns in the shrine dot the entire space, adding a bit of elegance and poetry. Occasionally, the sound of drums and music came from afar, which was a rehearsal of the traditional festival. Strolling along the quiet path behind the shrine, time seems to slow down here. When the afterglow of the setting sun dyed the sky red, I left with blessings and hopes in my heart, but I had already left an indelible impression of Sumiyoshi Shrine.
