If you’re walking along Campbell Street in Georgetown and craving something local but with a twist, this spot is definitely worth checking out. It’s a fusion Chinese hawker-style restaurant, but instead of being in a chaotic food court, it’s set up in a cosy and more polished environment.
The menu has a good mix of options — you can go for shared dishes if you’re with friends or family, or stick to individual ala carte plates if you’re eating solo. The food is tasty and well-prepared, with familiar flavours that remind you of hawker favourites but presented in a slightly elevated way. It’s one of those places where almost everything on the menu looks tempting, so you’ll probably end up ordering more than planned.
One thing that stood out for me was the fried rice. It’s simple but done really well, full of flavour and with that classic “wok hei” aroma that makes you want to dig in straight away. Definitely a dish I’d recommend adding to the table.
Now, price-wise, it’s on the higher side compared to your usual Penang hawker stall, but that’s to be expected since the place is more of a proper restaurant setting. You’re paying for comfort, service, and the overall dining experience.
The vibe here is casual yet stylish, making it a nice stop whether you’re grabbing a quick meal or sitting down for a proper dinner with friends. If you’re exploring Georgetown and want hawker flavours without the heat and crowd of a kopitiam, this place fits the bill.
