Nestled in the trendy neighborhood of Yeonnam-dong, Milano Sikdang (밀라노 식당) is a charming spot offering a taste of home-style Italian cuisine in the heart of Seoul. Known for its cozy atmosphere and straightforward yet flavorful dishes, this small restaurant is perfect for those seeking comforting Italian meals.

The menu at Milano Sikdang focuses on classic Italian fare with a rustic touch. I tried their cream gnocchi, which was rich and creamy without being overpowering, with pillowy-soft gnocchi that melted in your mouth. The vongole pasta stood out for its light, garlicky sauce and fresh clams, striking a balance between simplicity and flavor. Milano Sikdang is located within walking distance of Hongik University Station, Exit 3. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk into the quieter streets of Yeonnam-dong, where the restaurant is tucked away among other quaint eateries and cafes. When we visited at noon, the restaurant wasn't too crowded, so it's a great option for those who didn't make a reservation in advance.
