My husband and I will be traveling to DC Oct 18-23 flying in from Indianapolis. Our primary reason for visiting is the museums, monuments and other historic sites. Our last visit to DC was about 25 years ago with our young daughters. We want a centrally located luxury hotel with in walking distance to most of the usual tourist sites. A historic hotel is nice, but not necessary. We just want comfort, beauty, excellent service and a walkable location. Our budget is up to $1,500 a night. We won't be traveling with pets. We are fit 65 year olds who like to walk whenever possible.
