The Robot Zoo at Horniman Museum and Gardens offers a fascinating interactive experience that blends nature, art, and technology. Here, visitors will encounter a series of extraordinary robotic animals, reconstructed from everyday mechanical parts and high-tech installations. These mechanical creatures that are larger than real animals showcase the remarkable survival abilities of real animals in nature, like how chameleons change color, how grasshoppers leap high, and how bats navigate in the dark. One of the most exciting aspects of the exhibition is the hands-on interactive experiences, including a jet-powered squid race and a chameleon tongue target challenge. Additionally, visitors can engage with an interactive mural by artist Giulia Casarotto, where they can search for hidden chameleons or play a game matching animals to their habitats.
